Tracey and Julie have collaborated on projects for 25 years, working together for the last 10.
We're excited to work with organizations to support their work in planning, problem solving, implementations, and assessment.
Tracey recently concluded 17 years as chief executive of the primary international academic association in accounting, the American Accounting Association. Before serving there as executive director, she spent six years as director of faculty development for the association. As a consultant, she brings experience in higher education leadership in both associations and on campus, strategic planning, faculty development, scholarly association publishing, assessment, association governance and planning, accreditation, and college student development/affairs. Tracey’s university leadership experience spans both public and private institutions. Prior to her association role, she created and led a faculty development center, taught, and led a residential college at Truman State University, working with faculty across campus in a unique assessment-focused public liberal arts environment, and served as a member of the student affairs teams at Saint Louis University and Auburn University. She holds a PhD in higher education from Florida State University, a masters in counseling (college student development) from Auburn University, and a bachelors degree in education from Stetson University. She recently earned the Foundations in Design Thinking certificate from IDEO University, adding new perspectives to work in collaborative problem solving, especially when working remotely is necessary.
Julie gained corporate experience as a technology consultant with Andersen Consulting and Director of IT at Schwarz Paper Company, before becoming professor of Accounting and Information Systems at Arizona State University where she served for 17 years. While at ASU she combined experience and insights to lead the business school’s Center for Advancing Business through IT (CABIT). With strong belief in the power of community to make a difference, Julie’s next step was from her faculty role to an association role as Chief Innovation Officer for the American Accounting Association, where she led numerous innovation projects, and supervised IT, finance and finance strategy, and the scholarly publications program. Pursuing a long-held interest in design, she has recently earned the Foundations in Design Thinking certificate from IDEO University. Julie has earned three degrees from Michigan State University: a PhD in accounting and information systems, an MBA, and a bachelors in hospitality business.
